Ez tiny kein GPS?

Moin, heute ist mein Ez Tracker gekommen, leider erkennt er keine Satteliten und da wollte ich mal wissen, ob das am 5.8GHz Sender liegen kann? dürfte doch eigentlich nichts machen oder?

Außerdem würde mich interessieren, wie ich auf dem Tracker die Geschwindigkeit und die Stromdaten ablesen kann, brauche ich dafür ein Softwareupdate?

For properly installing the EzOSD and its integrated GPS receiver a few things are important:

1) Mount the EzOSD so it has clear view of the sky, with the GPS antenna facing upwards. Make sure no cables, carbon fiber, metal or other materials are blocking it, or are close by.

2) Make sure the EzOSD is clear of wires that carry large currents (the ESC wires, or the wires to the motor), mount it as far away from these as possible.

3) Never mount an audio/video Tx close (several centimeters/inches) to the EzOSD.

4) Make sure that the EzOSD never sits below an audio/video Tx as then the audio/video Tx will be in 'view' of the integrated GPS.

5) The GPS is sensitive to multipathing (Google if you're not sure what that means) and only works well in an environment with little to no reflections. Don't expect to get a lock inside a house, in an alley or in an area surrounded by large houses/flats/high rises/etc. and open field works best.

6) If the EzOSD doesn't get a full lock in 5 minutes, power it down (remove battery), wait 2 to 3 minutes and power back up.



Allgemein BEC und Videosender (2.4 auf jeden Fall und 5.8 dann bestimmt auch) stören die Satellitensuche.

Bei mir dauerts nah am Regler minutenlang,ohne BEC in der Nähe hab ich in 1-2 min alle Satelliten....

Zum Ez Tiny Telemetry bzw Akkuanzeige wird doch hier alles gesagt.

thx, dachte nicht, dass das Ding überhaupt so lange braucht. Die Anleitung habe ich auf Globeflight nicht gefunden.

Imo Regnets, wenns aufhört versuch ichs mal im freien (wobei eine Dachfläche aus Holz und 10cm Dämmung auch nicht viel machen dürfte)

EDIT: Jetzt gehts, einfach aus dem Fenster hängen reicht schon um 8 stk rein zu bekommen Allerdings weis ich immernoch nicht, wie ich den Stromsensor auslesen kann, ich finde im tracker menü keinen derartigen Unterpunkt.

Aus Seite 2 der Tiny Anleitung:

"The bottom three pins are labelled ‘battery voltage’, ‘current’ and ‘gnd’. Battery voltage allows monitoring of the flight pack battery voltage. Route this pin to the positive terminal (+) of the battery pack. If current sensing isn’t required no other connections need to be made."

Das ist mir schon klar, ist alles angeschlossen, im Menü des Trackers ist aber davon nichts zu finden. So, als ob es eine ältere Version ohne die Features ist. außerdem fehlt das Backlight, ist das normal?

So ich kann das hier noch aufklären nachdem ich heute FunJet mit Tiny Telemetry geflogen bin, Ez Antenna Tracker auf V1.07 updaten und dann zeigt der auch die Spannung an.
Und der nächste Tip: Wählt die Kabel die an den Stromsensor gehen mit entsprechendt großem Querschnitt,mir sind die heute bei ca 30-40A Belastung (FunJet halt) leicht angeschmorrt..(und geflogen bin ich laut Telemetry/Google Earth zwischen Türkei,Syrien und Lybien ).:/:

Sooo, habs jetzt geschafft, das Teil zu updaten und der Sensor funktioniert jetzt

Das nächste, was mich beschäftigt ist der GPS Sensor selbst, ich hab das Teil jetzt auf den Quadrocopter gespaxt, so ganz offen ist mir das etwas heikel, daher soll eine Haube drüber, kann ich da ohne bedenken GFK verwenden oder is das Zeuch bei 12GHz schon zu stark absorbierend?
