Ich verstehe dich nicht ganz. Du hast doch schon per PN geschrieben, dass du nun die MT2216 kaufen willst und jetzt prüfst du doch noch die 2206?
Mit bürstenlosem Gimbal und GoPro wirst du es sicher nicht unter 1kg schaffen, egal mit welchen Motoren. In deiner Tabelle stimmen einige Gewichtsangaben auch noch nicht.

Also die Mt2216 sind im mom nirgends lieferbar deshalb habe ich auch andere motoren durchgerechnet. Und sie sich für andere in die Bewertung einfließen lassen

Das original tarot wiegt 200, die gopro 75.. umgebaut könnte es schon auf 200 mit cam kommen. Jedenfalls hat man eine Tendenz welcher Motor sparsammer ist

Nur welche Art der Entkopplung des Gimbals da passt weiß ich nicht so recht.

Die meisten Gimbal hängen ja drunter und dann passts ja nicht wenn ich das vorne senkrecht anbringen will,oder?

Hi,

ich habe auch so ein hängendes Gimbal von einem Freund aus Österreich geschenkt bekommen. Anschließend hatte ich das Controller Board (Martinez) unter dem Megapirate verschraubt und die beiden Carbonplatten bei Seite gelegt. Der Rollmotor ist mit seiner Aufnahme hängend an der Carbonplatte verschraubt gewesen, also kann die Aufnahme einfach um 180 Grad gedreht werden und man erhält ein stehendes Gimbal.

Ok - versteh ich. Hast du denn die Rollmotoraufnahme fest mit dem Copter verbunden oder Dämpfergummies verwendet?
Die sind ja ursprünglich zwischen den Carbonplatten verbaut.
Ich sehe da die Schwierigkeit das Gimbal vibrationsarm zu befestigen.

Hi,

Dämpfergummis habe ich bisher nicht eingesetzt, ob Filmen mit oder ohne Gimbal. Mein Fquad steht echt sehr sauber in der Luft, also keine Vibrationen und keine Störungen in der Videoaufnahme. Daher wollte ich auch weiterhin auf die Dämpfer verzichten. Beim TBS vorher musste ich meine Cam mit Dämpfern lagern, da sonst die Störungen und Wackler im Video zu krass waren.

Sorry for writing in English, but my German is unfortunately not good enough anymore to be writing to you in German... I can understand quite a bit, but you would just be confused if I tried to write something, and using Google Translate would probably just be confusing... I haven't found any good threads about the FQuad in the English forums, so I'm trying my luck here. Too bad that there wasn't a manual included in the package.

I come from a HobbyKing Q450 frame that I partially broke last weekend, and ordered the Warthox FQuad on Sunday and received it today. A nice little project for the weekend!

However, I do have a few questions. Some are probably answered previously in the thread, but as I stated previously, my German knowledge is limited, to say the least, and I must say the same about the Google translate function, as there seems to be quite a lot of German slang used here in the forums!

Before I list my questions, I will specify all of my components, so you won't have to ask follow-up actions about this!

Frame: Warthox FQuad (of course!)
FC: KK2.1 with Stevei's 1.17S1 LITE Firmware
Motors: SunnySky 2212/13 980Kv
ESC: AFRO 30A with SimonK Firmware
Props: HQProp 9x5
Battery: 3.000mAh 4S Zippy battery
Transmitter/Receiver: Turnigy 9X

So (finally) to my questions:
PS: I won't be using this for FPV just yet, but maybe in the future. Will mostly be sport-flying (fast fligths and some flips and rolls) and some aerial footage by GoPro3+ Silver Edition:

1. Is there anything in this setup you would have changed? Any of the components that should be replaced?
2. Which angle would you mount the arms? Seems like each arm has two different angles possible. Which of the angles provides the best stability?
3. Where on the top-board would you recommend placing the KK2.1? I have seen that this has been discussed, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Which holes have you used to mount yours?
4. Is it possible to add more LED's to the existing setup, without adding a BEC to change the voltage? Don't know which voltage the pre-installed LED's are certified for, but Flyduino have confirmed by e-mail that 4S-battery is no problem. I have LED's on my current quad that would be nice to be able to transfer to the new one, and these are currently fed by a UBEC with 9V.
5. Where would you mount the LiPo battery? As my batteries are quite heavy (I have four of them, and will not buy new ones as of now). My guess would be that mounting it underneath the bottom-frame would be the best idea as I think it will be too back/top-heavy if I mount it on the rear top of the frame.

I'm sorry if some or all of these questions have already been answered, but as I said, I'm a bit confused about the German language here...

there are a lot of things i would change if i would build it for myself. but thats a matter of personal taste.
2 things i would definitely change is the fc -> multiwii and a smaller battery.

2. Which angle would you mount the arms? Seems like each arm has two different angles possible. Which of the angles provides the best stability?

use the outer holes if you mainly want to fly for fun and acro. so its more symmetrical.

3. Where on the top-board would you recommend placing the KK2.1? I have seen that this has been discussed, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Which holes have you used to mount yours?

i would place it on the most back holes for the beginning.

the leds on the frame have series resistors.
if you want to add your current leds which run on 9v i would transfer them incl. the 9v bec.

place it underneath if you fly without camera.

Wow, a reply from the great Warthox himself! I feel honored!!!!

I will probably NEVER be able to fly anywhere NEAR what you are capable of. I've seen plenty of your videos and I'm nothing less than impressed! Do you have an official title of being the best quad-flyer in the world, or is it just unofficial?

Thank you SO much for your input! I understand that I should probably upgrade the FC, and I'm sure I will sometime in the future, but for now I like the simplicity of the KK2.1. Maybe next year, when I have more experience I will feel competent enough and have enough confidence in stepping up a notch. When you say use a smaller battery, do you mean just smaller in mAh or that I should also use 3S instead of 4S? Which battery would you recommend, assuming motors and props stay the same?

I guess that even with a front-mounted GoPro I should place the battery underneath, as I have such a heavy battery (for now). I'll just try to slide it a bit further back. If my battery was smaller, I understand that it would be better to put it in the back with a front-mounted camera.

with smaller i mean a battery with less weight. but you can use your 4s3000 of course.
with your motor/prop setup youll have plenty of power anyway.

for mounting the battery on the top/back with camera it would be to tail heavy. so do it as you said with the battery underneath and further back.

Hy,

hab im Fquad den APM 2.6 drin. Als Frametype hab ich V gewählt.
Beim abstoppen aus dem Rückwärtsflug übersteuert er im Stable um Teil
Brutal ! Sollte ich lieber den normale X als Frametype wählen ?

ich nutze zwar das Megapirate, habe dort aber auch die V-Variante ausgewählt! Mit dem APM kannst du doch mal die Autotune Funktion durchführen, zur Optimierung der PID-Werte. Denke mal er wird dann nicht mehr so stark übersteuern.

Hy,

bin im Moment nur noch am Fquad heizen !

Das Ding geht einfach wie Sau. Klein, Leicht und bei jedem Wind fliegbar !
Heute ist mit der vordere linke Prop in der Mitte gebrochen so das nur noch eine
Seite da war. Der Fquad mit APM im Stable ist nicht abgeschmiert.
Konnte ohne weiteres wieder zu mir herfliegen und landen.
Mir ist es nur aufgefallen weil er Plötzlich so laut war !

Mal sehen ob der extra wünsch nach 20cm Armen klappt oder ich sie extra bestellen müsste

Aber eine Frage hab ich da noch, sollten die Motoren nicht quadratisch angeordnet werden?
Oder kann mir das mal bitte jemand erläutern warum das so funktioniert.
Drehen da nicht 2 Motoren immer mit mehr Leistung um dies auszugleichen?

Weil sonst gibt es doch eigentlich nur Frames wo die Motoren immer im Quadrat zueinander stehen.

Hi,

wollte auch nochmal meinen aktuellen Warthox zeigen. Ich habe ein paar letzte Veränderungen am Warthox Frame vorgenommen. Zum einen hat er ein Topdeck erhalten, habe ich selbst gezeichnet und gefräst und die Mobius-Cam hat auf der Unterseite der Goprohalterung eine eigene Halterung bekommen. Auf die Weise kann ich auch gleich das USB-Kabel unter dem Frame nach hinten zum FPV-Sender führen. Außerdem habe ich von einem BEC den Strom (5v) abgezwackt und zur Mobius weitergeführt, so brauche ich mir keine Sorgen machen, dass der Mobius-Akku im Flug schlapp macht. Weiterer Vorteil, die Cam geht beim anstecken des Akkus sofort an und beim abziehen wieder aus, also perfekt.

Unter dem Topdeck habe ich mit Carbonklebefolie die Abstandhalter komplett abgeklebt, verstecke so die gesamten Kabel und es sieht aus wie ein Sockel auf dem das Topdeck aufliegt. Gefällt mir echt gut und der Frame sieht jetzt schon ziemlich aufgeräumt aus!

Die Sache mit dem Gimbal wird vorerst verschoben, da hatte ich meinen neuen Versuch bereits gezeigt. Dieser wird auch funktionieren, ich muss nur noch neue starke Dämpfergummis besorgen. Da ich aber gerade meinen BlackStar Mini Hexa aufbaue, muss das noch ein bisschen warten.

Aktuell fliege ich den FQuad mit 4s 3200mah SLS Akkus und komme auf ca. 12min Flugzeit mit den DJI Motoren und 9x5er Props. Bin mit dem Setup sehr zu frieden, aber ein OSD wird noch folgen, da ich jetzt immer über Brille fliege und gerne wissen würde, wie weit ich vom Homepunkt entfernt bin.

Micar4 hat mir freundlicher Weise seine PID-Werte vom APM zugeschickt und ich habe sie mit meinen vom Megapirate verglichen. Sein Setup und Aufbau ist sehr ähnlich, also habe ich seine PID-Werte einfach mal getestet und siehe da, er liegt wirklich noch ruhiger in der Luft in schnellen Kurven, da hatte ich vorher so meine Probleme. Ein bisschen Potenzial ist bestimmt noch vorhanden, aber mit den aktuellen Werten bin ich durchaus zu frieden.

Meiner ist nach einem halben Jahr Bastelei nun auch in seinem Endstadium angekommen!

Es war einmal ein FQuad...

Packmaß 50x20x20cm
Sämtliche Anbauten sind in wenigen Minuten mit wenigen Schrauben, Muttern oder Steckern inkl. Landegestell wieder entfernbar. Eine eierlegende Wollmilchsau halt

Abfluggewicht wie abgebildet (mit Hacker 3S 5000mAh): 1660g
Flugzeit 14 min (LiPo-Warner auf 3,5V pro Zelle unter Last)
Ablufggewicht nur mit CCD-Kamera, FPV-Sender und 3S 5000mAh Akku: 1160g
Flugzeit damit 22min.

Bin zufrieden! Mit einem TBS würde ich sicher nicht auf solche Flugzeiten kommen.
